We made it to Seattle!

The Aircaddy bike boxes proved to be a worthwhile investment afterall. One very early morning Uber XL later, we arrived at Logan.

Seattle was cloudy but beautiful. Our first stop was REI where the first person we meet, an avid touring cyclist named Jim, not only gave us excellent route recommendations, but also told us we could crash at his cabin along the way. We had been feeling uneasy about our complete lack of route planning, but Jim's encouragement very much put us at ease.

To round out the day, we shared a lovely dinner over Lake Washington with our dear friends who are also new to town, Alexandre and Madeleine. It was quite a send off from the last familiar faces we will see until the central the zone. Thanks so much guys!
